Connecticut’s Family Day was established by state law in 1997 (Public Act 97-288). Family Day shall be observed every year during the month of September with activities to be held at the State Capitol and elsewhere. The theme of Connecticut’s Family Day, "Valuing Connecticut’s Families…It’s Everybody’s Business" remains the same so that we continue to reinforce the message that families are Connecticut’s greatest resource and that all sectors of Connecticut’s society have the privilege and obligation to honor them.
